12s Get out the blocks flying

Junior football Returned to Wern Mynach this Saturday, with the Under 12s facing Bro Dysynni from Tywyn.

The game got underway with Barmouth having only 9 players (no subs), but this might have played its part in bringing the lads together. Within minutes of the game kicking off Scott Moncrieff and Donovan Hughes were causing all kind of difficulties down the flanks for the visitors, and would be the pattern of the match. After just 2’ Donovan Hughes opened the scoring, he would go on to score another late on. Sam Young got the second and third before Bro Dysynni got their only goal. Joe Lloyd would find the back of the net just before the end of the half.

The second half started much the same, Joe Lloyd scoring the goal of the game a superb solo effort, running past three players and placing the ball out of reach of the full stretch goalkeeper, In a bid to stop The Magpies, Bro Dysynni changed their formation which saw them put pressure on Harvey Taylor in goal, he stood his ground and with Jose Sukphol in front of him the visitors were kept at bay, Jose was in control of his back line the whole match and showed great composure playing the ball out of the back. Sam Young would get his hat-trick with 10 minuets to go, a great team move breaking from a Bro attack Joe Lloyd, Donovan Hughes and Scott Moncrieff all involved with Sam firing home from close range. Joe Lloyd would crown the display off with 5 minutes to go, also getting his hat-trick, a shot from outside the box.

Man of the match would go to Jose Sukphol for his brilliant display in defence, hard working and always looking to play the ball out the back, Well Done Jose. A special mention has also got to go to Scott Moncrieff, disappointed not to get a goal, with 5 assists without him the lads would have got so many goals, Well done Scott.

The lads will be back in action this midweek when they travel to Trawsfynydd to play Bro Hedd Wyn.
