MAGIC Effort 3-1 Away Win at Llangefni
If this is what playing under floodlights is like we should get our own!!!!
There was a big crowd at Llangefni to see the hosts’ final fixture of the season. It was tight at the top before the game but Barmouth’s magnificent 3-1 quashed Llangefni’s hopes of top spot this season.
Richard Darlison made the difference with two exquisite goals. The first a classic 25 yard effort into the keeper’s top left hand corner after 58 minutes to make it 2-0 after Paul Lewis had stunned the crowd 5 minutes before half time.
Llangefni came back into the game on 74 minutes after Stuart Pilling’s magical performance between the sticks had kept everything that Llangefni could throw at us, out. He used every part of his anatomy in this task.
Richard Darlison put the result beyond doubt with a header 15 minutes before time but the Chairman’s wristwatch was called upon many times in those last 15 minutes.
Fair play to the Llangefni players and crowd alike, they recognised our performance and saluted each other for a terrific season after our players had left the pitch.
The club would like to apologise for the delay in getting this report out.
This Saturday Carl Ryan and the boys will see local rivals Penrhyndeudraeth visit The Wern Mynach in the rearranged Derby. Come down to watch the lads in what is anticipated to be a nail biter of a match, with only 3 points separating both teams.
