Barmouth Bow Out in EXTRA TIME
Roosters come back to win 5-2
After taking an early lead 2” in with a Paul Lewis Goal, Barmouth looked to progress in the competition that is sponsored by our own Chairman Will Huntley. Adam Morris doubled the visitors lead on 28” and Barmouth were looking good for the win.
The second half Llanrwst grew back into the game and late on got a goal back, Sam Roberts converting on 85”. Barmouth midfielder Geth Evans would receive a second yellow card, and was subsequently sent off only seconds later. Right at the death Llanrwst’s Leighton Griffithis equalised to force the game into Extra Time.
Having played in the Cookson Cup Final in midweek, extra time is not what Manager Carl Ryan would of wished for. It took Llanrwst until 95” to take the lead when Callum Parry put the home side in front, and the home side would seal the wi with two more goals, Morgan Parry on 102” and Sam Roberts getting his second on 117” respectively. Barmouth’s misfortunes were compounded just before the end as Captain Michael Irvine received a red card after picking up a second yellow.
